Clermont-Ferrand SFF presents
In the eye of the sun
French short film production is relatively consistent. Beyond the numbers, it interestingly displays remarkable creativity in exploring various genres and is also home to many emerging talents through international coproduction and collaboration.
This one programme of just five films, all produced through French companies or entities, aims to illustrate this spirit of creativity and openness by combining films that boldly use the language of documentary, animation, choreography, sound and music to share their respective stories. Not shying away from the urgency of our times, this set of films explores the human intricacies of distance, memory, identity, danger, hope, and suspended time.
