Exhibition: HALL OF FAME / WALL OF SHAME
celebratory exhibition for the 10th festival edition Ten years. Lots of short films. Countless faces. And just as many drops of sweat, tears and alcohol (shout out to Blanc Foussy). This important milestone of our favourite short film festival in the world is a testament to the perseverance, dedication, and immense love for this genre of the seventh art that has brought us all together on this long journey. Every film shown, every screening, every meeting with filmmakers and friends, has been a moment that has strengthened our community and enriched our lives.
In this exhibition, you can see photographs that capture the heart and soul of our festival. Whether it’s images of the festival team members in various states of psycho-physical frenzy, jurors and festival guests caught in the lens as they carefully go about their work, recovering from a sleepless night or genuinely marvelling at the rich bounty of all that the festival has to offer, we are proud to present these images to you. A special visual memorial is also dedicated to the spaces that, for a few short years, were important meeting places for the colourful festival crowd, so beloved by us, but have, for one reason or another, been taken away from us (some of them permanently – rip in peace Skatepark Rog).
You will also see the delighted faces and twinkles in the eyes of our loyal audience who fill the seats of the festival venues every year, and a special place is reserved for our furriest visitors – the four-legged friends we love to meet at our screenings and gatherings. The Party/Drunk section needs no special description, we just hope it won’t be too awkward for anyone. You’ll also be able to see what the team is up to and where they’re wandering and networking as they forge the next edition of the festival, as well as where they’ve sung us praises, or maybe even offered some criticisms. Let’s not forget our loyal sponsors and supporters, and the one and only designer Jan Virant – Dizjan, who has been taking care of our visual identity for many years.
The exhibition is not only a collection of photographs, but also an expression of our gratitude to all of you who have been with us along the way. Your support, cooperation and love for short film have helped us create something truly special. Each and every one of you has contributed to the success of the festival, and we dedicate this exhibition to you, our friends and supporters. Let this tenth anniversary be a time to celebrate the past and at the same time to look forward with excitement to what is yet to come.
Long live short film! Long live FeKK Festival! Long live friendship!
