DoKKu Workshop Keep the Dream Burning

At the workshop, organized by Luksuz produkcija and FeKK, 15 participants will immerse themselves in Ljubljana for ten days in the creative process of making short documentaries. Through hands-on production and mentorship, participants will learn the essentials of documentary filmmaking and how to facilitate similar workshops in their own communities. The workshop aims to equip young creators with media production skills that can amplify underrepresented voices. It will conclude with a public screening of the completed films, followed by a discussion.

Workshop Structure

• Days 1–2: Introduction & brainstorming – Participants will explore potential themes and form small production teams (3–4 people).
• Days 3–7: Filming – Guided by experienced mentors, teams will develop and shoot their projects.
• Days 7–10: Editing & post-production – Final touches will be applied before the public screening.

The documentaries will reflect current social realities while expressing each filmmaker’s personal perspective—who you are, what matters to you, and what you stand for. We especially encourage you to pursue topics that are underrepresented in mainstream media and that deserve wider visibility.
