The 12th edition of FeKK – Ljubljana Short Film Festival will take place from August 17 to 22, 2026.
Submissions are now open for three (!!!) competition programs of the festival: FeKK SLO, FeKK BAL, and Children’s Competition Program.
While FeKK SLO strives each year to present a high-quality selection of the latest Slovenian short film productions, emphasizing the diversity and vitality of national short film, FeKK BAL focuses on contemporary short films from Southeast Europe and brings together works from the wider Balkan region, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and—new this year—Cyprus and Moldova!
As a refreshment of the competition section, this year’s program also includes a children’s competition program, where we’re looking forward to seeing short films for children from all over the world. Based on the submissions, the carefully selected program will be divided into age groups to provide young viewers with an interesting and age-appropriate (children’s) festival experience.
