VR ShorTS x FeKK
VR programme of the festival
ShorTS Immersive returns this year to FeKK with the 6DoF section, dedicated to interactive immersive experiences. In this section, the viewer is no longer a passive observer but becomes an active part of the narrative: they can explore the environment, interact with characters, and follow the story at their pace and from their perspective. The three works competing in 2025 share the distinctive feature of allowing each viewer to shape the experience in a personal way, offering deep and innovative engagement.
Alongside this interactive section, the festival also features Cinematic VR, now an established presence, which continues its exploration of the potential of immersive cinema. With 360° “visions” that engage viewers emotionally and perceptually, the selected works range from classic storytelling to visual and sensory experimentation, reflecting the vibrancy and ongoing evolution of this language.
Between August 19 and 22, MSUM will also host a program of VR films every day between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., which we have prepared in collaboration with the ShorTS short film festival in Trieste. Advance reservations are recommended at info@fekk.si. Viewing the films is free of charge.
