VR ShorTS x FeKK

VR programme of the festival

ShorTS Immersive returns this year to FeKK with the 6DoF section, dedicated to interactive immersive experiences. In this section, the viewer is no longer a passive observer but becomes an active part of the narrative: they can explore the environment, interact with characters, and follow the story at their pace and from their perspective. The three works competing in 2025 share the distinctive feature of allowing each viewer to shape the experience in a personal way, offering deep and innovative engagement.

A drawn 3D scene depicts a stone room with shelves, a portrait with a serious face, and floating objects. On the left, a stylized headless figure holds something pink in its hands.

Lost and Found

Dime Gjorgjievski, Finland, Belgium, Portugal, North Macedonia, animation, 2024, 8’–12‘

In a softly lit yellow-purple space, two silver, elegantly shaped hands float, almost touching. Around them are organic shapes and small glowing particles.

Plastisapiens

Miri Chekhanovich, Edith Jorisch, animation, 2023, 15’

A picturesque scene shows a dining hall with tables and chairs outlined in black sketch lines, while some people are realistic. In the foreground, a person in a red shirt and black beanie sits with a tray of food.

The Delights

Catherine Bélanger, Canada, animation, 2025, 11’

A top-down panoramic shot shows a stage in the center with a dancer in a white dress standing with arms outstretched, flanked by two blurred figures in flowing dresses. The stage is surrounded by lights shining into the darkness.

200

Alice Poppe, JC Oliveira, Brazil, fiction, 2024, 10’

A vibrant illustrated scene depicts Asian architecture, colorful lanterns, and a stage where a person is preparing a puppet. The background is rich with yellow and pink tones and decorative patterns.

Hungry

Liu Yu-shu, Taiwan, animation, 2024, 11’
